![]() At 6:50 the waitress comes up to us to explain that we didn't have our food because the cooks just skipped over our ticket but at least gave my husband his slice of cheese pizza. At some point I had to get up and refill our drinks because no one came to check up on us at all. But after that the big crowd left and there wasn't really anybody in (except for a couple of tables) and we were just ignored. But they were super busy so we understood and waited patiently. We didn't get served at all until 6:20 (after I went up and pretty much had to ask for service). My husband and I were so excited to try this place after all the good reviews only to be left extremely disappointed. We will come back again, when we can afford the bill. We are locals to Panama City and seldom brave PC Beach during tourist season. Overall my wife and I are happy we chose The Wharf Buffet. I only mentioned the highlight foods, but will note that there was a good choice of vegetables and fried foods (shrimp, chicken fingers, clam strips). Maybe I am too used to how I cook my steak at home but it just didn't taste right. On the great side were being served a perfect medium. I have a mixed opinion on the fillet mignon steaks. My wife and I shared a bowl and we were both done with it after a couple of spoons. She Crab Soup: Apparently this is a main attraction for The Wharf. The pan was low, so maybe I should have waited for a fresh batch. I am not sure what all was in it but it was very good.Ĭalamari: slightly overcooked and rubbery. Sausage: I don't really like sausage, but this looked good enough to try, and I am so happy I did. The oysters here were a pleasant surprise. We ate so many crab legs and they were great!įried Oysters: Well prepared and not overcooked. ![]() It was busier than I expected, but not yet packed.Ĭrab legs! Fresh taste, crisp shells and firm meat. We arrived on Wednesday a little after 5pm. I did read most of the recent reviews here and I was hesitating to go but decided to bring my wife here and form our own opinion. I’m traumatized and will not be back simply out of pure fear.ĭid not like the $60 per person cost, but I knew what it would be before going, so I am not letting that affect my review. I usually have a stomach of steel so this surprised me. I was out for the rest of the night and part of the next day. My stomach disagreed instantly and I was vomiting and other things. 6/11 people at my party were instantly fighting for the bathroom. This may not be an everyday occurrence but the food messed me up. Photos included are of someone else in my party’s plate.Īt the time of my service kids 3 and under were free, my 10 and 11 year olds were 9.95 without crab legs and 29.95 with crab legs, and adults are 39.95 without crab legs and 50 with. I had jambalaya over rice, buns, chicken, green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy, and tried the crab legs. It stays full as there’s someone stationed to report to the kitchen any buffet needs. They have a nice food selection with lots of options for different tastes including salads, chicken, seafood, kid friendly foods like tenders and fries. You go the the buffet grab a plate( plates are very hot to the touch as they’re sanitized). ![]() The atmosphere is very family oriented though with so many people in a small space it’s very noisy and hard to hear yourself talk. The server responsible for our check and beverages was very friendly and professional. We were sat very quickly without waiting. We went during summer on a Saturday night.Ĭame with family of 11. Parking is plentiful with space in front and back. Captain Jack yo stomach up! Make sure you have enough toilets available for the whole family.
